There is a website that deal with medical issues as Medline. Typing this word (Medline) on Google or Yahoo search, and probably get the address of the website. I've found that in 2005 the FDA approved a treatment for their condition, not taken into account, in fact, the weakness, as a bypass. If you are looking for the Surgery of the aorta as MEDLINE home page I am sure you will probably be the same article. Do not forget to ask your doctor whether he / she is aware of this treatment, and if T has been a success. Good luck.

Laparoscopic, no.

Depending on the exact location of an aneurysm of the aorta (like yours) May be established by endovascular approach.
This is done with a catheter in the groin.

The consultation must be carried out with a vascular surgeon or cardiothoracic experience will be.

Please visit for more information about aneurysms. Many people live for years with ruptured aneurysms. However, the risk of rupture with fatal bleeding, still exists.
Aneurysms of the aorta, located in the thoracic cavity, are more difficult to solve than found in the abdomen. Nevertheless, a growing number of aneurysms of the thoracic cavity were treated successfully by surgery. An aneurysm is replaced by Dacron or Teflon graft (plastic).
Questions please contact your cardiologist for more information.

I had an aneurysm of the ascending aorta and repair of the aortic valve in 1983! The procedure is similar to the ring in a heart-lung machine is used, while the repair is under way. My aorta was through a piece of Dacron polyester, or is replacing another, even if it sometimes works well cry. I have no other way to solve this one problem. The biggest worry was dissection or rupture. From what I understand, to dissection or rupture is very risky. Your doctor recommended surgery? 64 is not that old. After the surgery may be better if they are younger or in better shape.
